Esther N. Chris

Esther Naomi Chris, age 96, of Union, passed away on Tuesday, May 27, 2025 at Ohio’s Hospice of Miami County. She was born on September 4, 1928 to William Perry & Ruth Leota (Burkhardt) Marshall in Whitewater, Indiana.

She is preceded in death by her parents; loving husband Alfred Ernest Chris; 2 grandchildren; 12 siblings.

She will be missed and remembered by her loving children Charlotte J. Foster of West Milton, Alfred William Chris of Greenville, and Ann Marie Fields of Union; 4 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren.

Esther loved crocheting, knitting, quilting, and was the best cook ever.

The family will receive friends from 4-5 PM on Friday, May 30, 2025 at Hale-Sarver Family Funeral Home, 284 N. Miami St, West Milton with a memorial service beginning at 5:00 PM. Interment will be in Polk Grove Cemetery, Butler Township at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Ohio’s Hospice of Miami County.
