Evelyn Marie Knight

Evelyn Marie Knight, age 92, of Beavercreek, passed away on Thursday, April 16, 2026 at Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton. She was born January 14, 1934 to William & Eva (Gerhard) Shedden in Dayton, Ohio.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Deforest Knight; son Forest “Dewey” Ray Knight; 2 sisters and 2 brothers.

She will be missed and remembered by her daughters Daye Ann Knight-Smart of Bellefontaine, and Lynda Kay Roth of Prairie Grove, AR; 7 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren.

Evelyn was a member of the United Methodist Church in Homosassa, FL. She also volunteered at the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office and hospice in Homosassa. Evelyn was a queen mother of the local chapter for the Red Hat Society.

The family will receive friends from 11 AM- 12 PM on Thursday, April 23, 2026 at Hale-Sarver Family Funeral Home, 284 N. Miami St, West Milton with a funeral service beginning at 12:00 PM.
