Floyd Leroy Kessler Jr, age 97, of Dayton, passed away on Sunday, March 29, 2026 at Dayton VA Hospice. He was born October 26, 1928 to Floyd Leroy Sr & Jean (Knife) Kessler in Dayton, Ohio.
He is preceded in death by his parents; loving wife Yoshi (Minnakata) Kessler; sisters Sarah Sprinkle and Becky Honeyman.
He will be missed and remembered by his loving daughters Sherrie (Robert) Sells of Dayton and Jeanette Kessler of Dayton; grandchildren Leslie (Brian) Whitten, and Stacie (Kevin) Vanscoder; great grandchildren River and Herbie Vanscoder; sisters Phoebe Swihart of Tipp City and Mary Marshall of Tipp City.
Floyd served his country proudly in the United States Army during the Korean War and was stationed in Tokyo, Japan where he met his wife Yoshi. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and the VFW and he loved genealogy.
