Francis “Frank” Ray Wheelock, age 86, of Greenville, passed away on Thursday, May 30, 2024. He was born July 12, 1937 to Francis Elwood & Dorthy Lucille (Stockslager) Wheelock in Troy, Ohio.
He is preceded in death by his parents; stepdaughter Bonni Theide; great granddaughter Hayley Mariah Worden; siblings James Lee, Robert Ira, Ralph Richard, and Joy Wheelock.
He will be missed and remembered by his children Cynthia Hartman, Jami Worden, Nicholas Wheelock; mother of his children Gloria Wheelock; grandchildren Shanna Elliott, Jessica Worden, Bryan Worden, Joshua Wheelock, Jaleigha Theide, Sara Wheelock, Joseph Wheelock; great grandchildren Bria Elliott Meyer, Devin Beisner, Kaylee Elliott, Divinity Wheelock, Caiden Jones, Trinity Schweitzer, Aiden Elliott, Brooklynn Worden, David Wheelock; great great granddaughter on the way Violet Meyer.
Frank was a 1955 Milton-Union High School graduate. He then served his country proudly in the United States Navy where he served 4 years on an aircraft carrier where he learned his electrical trade. Frank worked at Fram/Honeywell in Greenville for 39 years as an electrician before retiring in 2003. He loved golfing, bowling, playing Pinochle, and spending time with his family.
The family will receive friends from 12-1 PM on Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at Hale-Sarver Family Funeral Home, 284 N. Miami St, West Milton with a funeral service beginning at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow in Wheelock Cemetery, West Milton. Online memories of Frank may be left for the family at www.hale-sarver.com.
