Gerald “Jerry” Lee Baker, age 74, of West Milton, passed away on Tuesday, December 17, 2024. He was born February 4, 1950 to Norman & Mary Baker in Dayton, Ohio.
He is preceded in death by his parents; sister Sharon Baker. He will be missed and remembered by his loving wife Sharon Lee (Pennington) Baker of 27 years; siblings Karen Somers of Vandalia, Marsha Phillips of Marysville, Steve Baker of Vandalia, and Debbie Rentz of Vandalia.; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Jerry served his country proudly in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War where he received a purple heart. He was a member of the Mountain Top VFW #6557, AMVETS #24 in Vandalia and a past member of the Honor Guard post #4464 in Gallipolis. Jerry loved getting together at family gatherings, going camping, traveling and hunting.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 PM on Sunday, December 22, 2024 at Hale-Sarver Family Funeral Home, 284 N. Miami St, West Milton with a funeral service beginning at 4:00 PM. Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, December 27 in Dayton National Cemetery, 4400 W. Third St, Dayton, OH 45428. If so desired, memorial contributions may be made to Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton.
