He graduated from Miami East High School in Troy and went on to attend Oregon Bible College in Oregon, Illinois and later Abilene Christian University, earning a master’s degree in conflict resolution. He married Karen Circle of Springfield, Ohio in 1979. After an internship in Phoenix, Arizona, he accepted a pastorate position at Country Chapel in Michigantown, Indiana in 1979. Throughout his ministry, he pastored churches in Hammond, Louisiana and Tempe, Arizona, until moving to Gatesville in 2008, where he was the current pastor at Cornerstone Church of God. He served in the ministry for 44 years and was on the board of the Church of God General Conference. He also was a newspaper sports editor and for the last few years, worked in the environmental field for the energy sector in the state of Texas and California.
Greg loved sports, attending church youth camps as a camper and later a counselor. He enjoyed taking his family on long road trips to national parks and playing bass guitar for the Christian band, WYSIWYG’s. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and was a great “connector of people.”
