Harold Laforrest Fellers
Age 103, of Piqua, passed away Tuesday, May 25, 2021, at his home. He was born March 22, 1918, in Darke County, Ohio, to his parents Alvin Everett & Mamie Ago (Freeze) Fellers. Harold graduated from Milton-Union High School class of 1937. He worked as a farmer in the Miami County area, a bus driver for Milton-Union Schools and Concord Schools, and retired from Dettmer Hospital in the maintenance department after nearly 30 years of employment. Following his retirement, Harold worked as a farmhand for LP Bailey Veterinarian until he was 95. He was member of the Antique Tractor Club, Piqua Fraternal Order of the Eagles 614 Aeries, and a member of the Good Sam Camping Club.
He will be missed and remembered by his loving wife Edith Irene (Mader) Fellers; children and their spouses Gerald & Judy Fellers of Troy, Terri & John Procuniar of Piqua, Tina Watren of Knoxville, Tennessee, Toni & Tom Taylor of Piqua, Tonya & Larry Hawes of Piqua; 9 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law Robert & Rachel Fellers of West Milton. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Catherine Heisey.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, May 29, at Hale-Sarver Family Funeral Home, 284 N. Miami Street, West Milton, with interment following at Riverside Cemetery, West Milton. The family will receive friends from 4:00-7:00 PM Friday at the funeral home. If so desired, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Miami County or the American Diabetes Association.
