Helen Irene Underwood

Helen Irene Underwood, age 94 of Tipp City, passed away on Monday, September 4, 2023 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born February 27, 1929 to Rudolph & Retta (Sayers) Schwartz in Kessler, Ohio.

She is preceded in death by her parents; loving husband of 74 years, Ralph Underwood in 2021; siblings Howard, Roy, Luella, Annabelle, Janice, Leo, Faye.

She will be missed and remembered by her loving children Steve (Pam) Underwood of Dayton, Rodney Underwood of West Milton, Pat Underwood of Tipp City, and Judy (Kent) Snyder of Troy; 5 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; siblings Retta Mae, Sue, and Jerry. 

Irene was a member of the Troy View Church of God and loved cooking, baking, crocheting, camping and doing puzzles.

The family will receive friends from 10-11:30 AM on Friday, September 8, 2023 at Hale-Sarver Family Funeral Home, 284 N. Miami St, West Milton with a funeral service beginning at 11:30 AM. Burial will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery, Tipp City. Memorial contributions may be made to Troy View Church of God, 1770 N. Co. Rd. 25A, Troy, OH 45373.
