Inez Welbaum

Inez Z. (Mote) Welbaum, age 84, of Troy, passed away on Saturday, July 24, 2021 at her home. She was born June 30, 1937 to the late Harry H. & Goldie May (Swank) Mote in Ludlow Falls, Ohio. She is preceded in death by her parents; siblings Flo Nitchman, Floyd Mote, Mary Sawry, Ruth Hatfield, Max Mote, Wilbur Mote, Eugene Mote, and Bruce Mote. She will be missed and remembered by her loving husband Gary Kay Welbaum who she married on April 9, 1956 in Winchester, IN; children Timothy Sr (Lori) Welbaum of Milford, MI, Micheal Welbaum of Troy, Jeffrey Welbaum Sr of Troy, Judy Welbaum (Timothy) Fisher of Maumee; 21 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; sister Doris Mote and many nieces and nephews. Inez was a 1955 Milton-Union High School graduate. She worked in her early years for the “Historic” K’s Hamburger Shop in Troy, OH for Paul David and Doris Kline. She spent most of her working career working for the Community Action Council as the Administrative Assistant. She obtained her social workers, food service administration and real estate licenses. She also worked for the Miami County Human Services as a liaison for the area nursing homes. Inez loved gardening, reading her Bible, spending time with the love of her life, Gary. She also loved taking care of her grandchildren and could always find her at all of their sporting events cheering them on. A family graveside service will held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 14, 2021 in Casstown Cemetery. Arrangements are in care of Hale-Sarver Family Funeral Home, West Milton.
