Irl "Hank" Anthony Shuman
Age 80, of Piqua, passed away Sunday, May 17, 2026, at home surrounded by his family. He was born April 8, 1946, in Troy, Ohio, to his parents George Everett & Virginia Irene (Mendenhall) Shuman. Hank graduated from Newton High School class of 1964 and on June 25, 1966, he married his high school sweetheart Marcia Ann Taylor. Hank retired from Hobart Brothers as a Lab Tech after over 32 years of employment. Hank served his country in the US Army during Vietnam. He was a member of the Miami County Antique Tractor Club and enjoyed farming, restoring and showing old tractors. He will be missed and remembered by his loving wife of nearly 60 years Marcia Ann Shuman; children and their spouses Annette Mote of Piqua, Ben Shuman & Jennifer Dailing of Piqua, Katie & Aaron Motter of Piqua; grandchildren Chase, Tanner, Cameo "Mandie"; great grandson Coner; brother Larry Shuman of Pleasant Hill, sister-in-law Cynda Shuman Renner of Troy. He was preceded in death by his son-in-law Ron Mote; brothers Everett Shuman, Arthur Shuman; Paul David Shuman. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, May 21, at Jackson-Sarver Funeral Home, 1 S. Main Street, Pleasant Hill, with interment following at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 AM Thursday at the funeral home. If so desired, memorial contributions may be made to Ohio's Hospice of Miami County.
