Obituary

J. Douglas Tullis, age 79, of Laura, passed away on Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born December 18, 1941 in Piqua, Ohio. He is preceded in death by his father and stepmother J. Edward & Dorothy Ann Tullis; mother Helen Rohrer. He will be missed and remembered by his loving wife Cynthia Lynn (Warman) Tullis of 50 years; children Steven (Annette) Jackson of Laura, Clayton (Rachel) Tullis of Provo, UT, and Paige (Tullis) Rizzotte of Beavercreek; grandchildren Michael (Courtany) Rizzotte, Ethan Rizzotte, Isabella Rizzotte, and Cecelia Rizzotte; great grandchildren Olivia Rizzotte and Noah Mifflin. Doug attended Newton High School and served his country proudly in the United States Navy during the Cuban Missile Crisis of 1962 on the USS Chilton. He loved taking care of his farm, all the farm activities, and his farm cats and dog. Doug loved spending time with his children, grandchildren and his beloved wife. The family will receive friends from 11 AM- 1 PM on Thursday, November 4, 2021 at Hale-Sarver Family Funeral Home, 284 N. Miami St, West Milton with a funeral service beginning at 1:00 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to the All-Star Dance Team, 2660 Dayton-Xenia Rd, Beavercreek, OH 45434. Online memories of Doug may be left for the family at www.hale-sarver.com.
