James R. Hypes

James R. Hypes, age 84, of Brookville, formerly of Phillipsburg and Trotwood, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, April 28, 2022. He was born July 14, 1937 to Herbert R. & Ruth M. (Miller) Hypes in Dayton, Ohio. He is preceded in death by his parents; son Richard and infant daughter Carol Jean; brother Bob and sister Katie. He will be missed and remembered by his loving wife of 62 years, Mayme (Colwell) Hypes; daughters Julie Nemeth and Connie Barker; grandchildren Bobby (Shelby) Nemeth, Misty Hypes, Nicole (Luke) Cameron, and Zachary Barker; great grandchildren Eli, Gracie, David, Zayden, Hendrix, Annie, and Cora; brother Gerald (Ruth) Hypes; sister Midge Manning; numerous special nieces, nephews, friends, and family. He will be missed by all. The family will receive friends from 12:30-1:30 PM on Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at Hale-Sarver Family Funeral Home, 284 N. Miami St, West Milton with a funeral service beginning at 1:30 PM. Burial will follow in Dayton Memorial Park.
