Janalee Jane Boyer
Age 79, of Troy, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 30, 2025, at StoryPoint of Troy. She was born August 13, 1945, in Greenville, Ohio, to her parents Frank & Ruby (Baker) Dearth.
Jan graduated from Milton-Union High School class of 1963, earned her LPN from the Dayton School of Practical Nursing, and later earned an associate’s degree in liberal arts from Sinclair Community College. After graduation she worked at Stouder Hospital until the birth of her son David. On August 23, 1980, she married James B. Boyer and together they shared a life for over 44 years. She enjoyed going antiquing and loved cooking and decorating for special events. The family would like to thank the nursing staff and aids at StoryPoint for the compassionate care they showed to Jan during her stay with them.
She will be missed and remembered by her husband James B. Boyer of Troy; son and daughter-in-law David Minton & Tracie Kimrey of Troy; grandchildren Kyle Minton, Colin Minton, Anna Minton; sister Becky Jackson of Tipp City; nephew Bill Jackson; nieces Nancy Jackson, Terri Warner, Suzy Warner; dear friend Julie Carver of Troy. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Patricia Froug. Private family services will be held with interment at Newcomer Cemetery, Painter Creek.
