Johnnie Blaine Tinkle

Johnnie Blaine Tinkle, age 64, of Tipp City, OH, passed away on Tuesday, July 19, 2022, at Miami Valley Hospital with loving family by his side. He was born November 27, 1957, to the late John Henry & Shirley Eileen (Wooters) Tinkle in Topeka, Kansas. He is preceded in death by his parents & brother Doug Tinkle. He will be missed & remembered by his wife of 45 years Christena E. (Stephenson) Tinkle of Tipp City; children John Brian (Pamela) Stephenson of Englewood; & Amy (Jeremy) Fittro of Tipp City; grandchildren Alexis Fittro, and Ava & Judah Stephenson; siblings Barry (Gwen) Tinkle of New Madison & Star Darling (Frank Valenci) of South Carolina; & numerous nieces & nephews.

Johnnie graduated from Winchester Community High School (Indiana) in 1976 & married in 1977. A 33-year veteran, he served his country proudly in the United States Air Force as an Aircraft Electro-Environmental Systems Maintenance Technician. He was apart of the 906th Tactical Fighter Group, 445th Airlift Wing & ART Program. He went on to work & retire from Wright-Patterson Air Force Base civil service as a Biomedical Technician.

Johnnie enjoyed making others laugh, telling jokes, planting flowers, growing Bonzi trees, sewing, grilling, raising praying mantis & especially spending time & sharing those passions with his granddaughter Alexis. He was a man with a kind heart, could fix or build anything & would do anything for anyone. He is greatly loved & will be greatly missed by all. Even after death, he was thinking of others & gave the gift of organ/tissue donation impacting at least 3 other lives.

A memorial gathering will be held from 12:00 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. with a service immediately following at 1:30 p.m. with Pastor Jerry Collins presiding on Saturday, August 6th, 2022, at Hale-Sarver Family Funeral Home, 284 N. Miami St, West Milton, OH 45383. A memorial dinner for family & friends to follow at Ludlow Falls Christian Church, 213 S. Vine St, Ludlow Falls, OH 45339.
