Joy McDowell

Joy W. McDowell of Greenville, age 78, passed away on November 26, 2021 at Miami Valley Hospital. She was born on December 25, 1942 in Dayton, Ohio to Elwood Frances and Dorothy (Stockslager) Wheelock. She was preceded in death by her parents; son Michael McDowell; grandchildren Adam McDowell, Jeffery McDowell, & Ashley McDowell; son-in-law Richie Crago; and brothers Dick, Bob, & James Wheelock. Joy will be missed and remembered by her children Scott (Debbie) McDowell of Northport, Florida, Randy (Dionne Edwards) McDowell of West Elkton, Ohio, & daughter Sherri Crago of West Alexandria, Ohio; grandchildren Travis & Cody McDowell, Kristina (Damian Phillips) McDowell; Christopher (Tiffany) McDowell, Bradley (Kelly) McDowell, Wesley Crago, &  Joseph (Taylor) Crago; step-grandaughter Melanie Edwards; great-grandchildren Ricky & Demi Phillips, Christian & Isiah McDowell, Elias McDowell, Braxston & Kashlyn McDowell, Elianna, Kyra, &  Andrew Crago, and Joselyn Crago; and brother Frank Wheelock.  A Celebration of Life will be held from 4 – 8 PM on Friday, December 3, 2021 at the Church of the Transfiguration, 972 S.
