Joyce Ann Sotzing

Age 76, of Troy, went to be with The Lord on Monday, August 16, 2021, at her home. She was born September 8, 1944, in Dayton, Ohio, to her parents Benjamin A. & Pearl “Marie” (Blakesly) Myers. She graduated from Fairview High School class of 1962 and was an active member of the First Baptist Church, Troy for over 30 years. She was an avid Cincinnati Reds fan and past president of the Rosie Reds. She loved traveling and spending time with her family.   She will be missed and remembered by her loving husband Robert “Bob” Lee Sotzing who she met at Wagons-Lits Travel School;  children Tamara Ann (Scott) Smith of Arcanum, Andy Carter of Troy; grandchildren Lucas Jackson of Pickerington, Lane (Taylor) Jackson of Vandalia, Isabella Smith of Arcanum, Abigail (Brian) Shuemake of Dothan, Alabama; special family members Judi Law of Perrysburg, Ohio, and Kathy Moultane of Birch Run, Michigan. She was preceded in death by parents; first husband Ellis A. Carter; cousin Arthur A. “Buck” Moultane, Jr.

Funeral services will be held 5:00 PM Sunday, August 22, at the First Baptist Church,  Troy, 53 S. Norwich Rd, Troy, Ohio 45373. Interment will be held 11:00 AM Monday at Trissel Cemetery, New Lebanon. The family will receive friends from 3:00-5:00 PM Sunday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the the First Baptist Church, Troy- Deacons’ Fund. Online memories may be left for the family at www.hale-sarver.com
