Juanita “Anita” Harris, age 81, of West Milton, passed away on Monday, February 24, 2020. She was born January 29, 1939 to the late Luis Magallanes & Hobita (Magbanua) Amato in Pahala, Kau, Hawaii. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 57 years, James “Jim” W. Harris; daughter Debra Puterbaugh and siblings Arcenio “Speedy” Magallanes, Loretta “Kitty” Chaney, Al Magallanes, Isabelle Hall, Rosalino Magallanes and Margie Mercado. She will be missed and remembered by her loving daughters Tammy R. Harris and Teresa L. (Jimmy) Baumberger; grandchildren Dustin Tackett, Khayla (Corey) LaVeris, Brandi (Brad) Bryson, Jeff (Bailey) Wood and Chris Puterbaugh; great grandchildren Leilani, Caden, Ashton, Avalynn, Finley, Catalina and Olive; 1 grand kitty Leo; siblings Conchita “Connie” (Don) Glackin of California, Louis “Junior” (Arlene) Magallanes of California, David Magallanes of Hawaii and Judy (John) Balucan of Hawaii and countless nieces, nephews, and friends. Juanita worked for many years and retired from Ginny Inc. as a seamstress. She loved her family, gardening, playing softball, crocheting and watching American Ninja Warrior. A memorial service will be held at a date to be announced at Ludlow Falls Christian Church, 213 Vine St, Ludlow Falls, OH 45339. A Hawaiian tradition of spreading of the ashes ceremony will take place in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii at a later date. Arrangements are in care of Hale-Sarver Family Funeral Home, West Milton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to assist the family with funeral expenses c/o Hale-Sarver or Hospice of Miami County.
