Judith Ann Zimmer
Age 85, of West Milton, passed away Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at Ohio’s Hospice of Miami County. She was born November 9, 1939, in Dayton, Ohio, to her parents Paul A. & Amelia (Fiorita) Bauer. She will be admired for her faith-filled spirit, kindness, and loving nature.
Judy's journey through life was one marked by devotion to her family and community. After graduating from Julienne High School, she embraced the role of a homemaker with grace and dedication, raising three daughters. Once her daughters embarked on their educational paths, Judy entered the workforce, bringing her caring and attentive nature to B&B IGA, Star Bank, and finally retiring from Huntington Bank.
Her commitment to others extended beyond her professional life. Since 1972, Judy was a proud member of the Church of the Transfiguration, where she not only worshipped but also played for the church softball league, demonstrating her love for sports and camaraderie, and teaching Catechism. Judy's passion for nurturing young minds and bodies was evident in her involvement with the Milton-Union Rec Council and her years spent coaching for the Miami County Junior Bowling Association. Her leadership skills shone brightly as she guided the Campfire Girls, instilling in them values of community service and personal development.
Judy's interests were as diverse as they were engaging. She found joy in the simple pleasures of gardening, where she cultivated beauty and life in her own backyard. Her adventurous spirit led her to the excitement of casinos, where she enjoyed the thrill of the game. But above all, Judy's heart was fullest when she was cheering on her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren in their various sports and activities. Her presence at these events was a testament to her unwavering support and love for her family.
Judy Zimmer's legacy is one of love, service, and commitment. She touched the lives of many, both within her family and across the community, leaving behind a tapestry of cherished memories and a model of kindness to aspire to. Judy's life was a reflection of her faith, and she lived every day embodying the values she held dear. Her memory will be treasured and her spirit will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her.
She was a mother to many and a friend to all.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of nearly 38 years Ronald Thomas Zimmer and her brother Paul Bauer, Jr.
She will be missed and remembered by daughters Robin & Jeff Meininger of Celina, Regina & Kevin Morter of West Milton; estranged daughter Ronda & Bill Christian of West Milton; grandchildren Jeffery, Natalie, Derek, Nathan, Lindsey, Jessica, Jillian; great-grandchildren Alyvia, Koltyn, Kamdyn, Izabelle, Nathan, Jr., Evan, Ethan, Vincent, Reagan, Adam, Roman, Jesse, Riker, Aubrey; sisters Patricia Drerup of Beavercreek and Pauline & Robert Iiames of Florida; beloved friends Shelly Deaton and Missy Smith.
