Kenneth E. McCune

Kenneth E. McCune, age 87, of Ft Worth, Texas formerly of Arcanum, Ohio passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, September 1, 2024, in Craig, Colorado. He was born April 15, 1937, to the late Charles and Lucretia (Kinsey) McCune in Dayton, Ohio.  He is preceded in death by his parents, loving wife and devoted partner Arlene F. (Longenecker) McCune in October 2021.

Kenneth married Arlene in 1958. They made their home in Arcanum, Ohio in a beautiful farmhouse where they welcomed 3 boys and enjoyed farming and gardening with their family. After 31 years of service, Kenny retired from TWA in 1996. After retirement Kenny, Arlene and their children, continued to enjoy their farm while spending time traveling, fishing, gardening and making apple butter every summer with their extended family. Kenny loved to travel with Arlene to destinations in Texas, Colorado, and Kentucky to camp, ride ATV’s, fish and be with their children and grandchildren. 

He will be greatly missed and remembered by his sons David (Sheila) McCune of Beavercreek, Ohio, Patrick McCune of Ft Worth, Texas, and Kevin (Elisa) McCune of Craig, Colorado; grandchildren Melanie King, Joshua (Katie) McCune, Jessica (Zack) Keys, Stacy Gaylor, Brian (Valerie) McCune, Brandon (Tony) Brunty, Michael McCune, and Kristopher McCune; great-grandchildren Andrew, Hailey, Logan, Ashlee, Natalie, Madilyn, Audrey, Devin, Summer, Marlee, Riley, and Jake; as well as his sister, Phyllis of Arkansas, extended family, friends and neighbors.

The family will receive friends from 9-10 a.m. Saturday, September 28, 2024, at Hale-Sarver Family Funeral Home, 284 N Miami Street, West Milton with a funeral service beginning at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Mote Cemetery, Pitsburg, Ohio.
