Larry Allen Snead

Age 77, of Pleasant Hill, passed away Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at Kettering Medical Center. He was born December 11, 1948, in Troy, Ohio, to his parents James & Miriam (Jay) Snead. Larry graduated from Newton High School class of 1967. Larry owned and operated Snead’s Sunoco in Pleasant Hill which he bought when he was 18 years old. During that time, he also worked as a truck driver hauling fuel in the Miami County area. He was an avid racing fan, enjoyed rebuilding engines, and building sprint cars for Jack Hewett. He loved spending time in the outdoors boating, fishing and snowmobiling. But most of all, he loved spending time with his grandchildren. He will be missed and remembered by his daughter Lori & Michael Griffin of Kettering, and their children Hannah and Noah; daughter Suzanne & Pete Crumback of Waynesville, and their children Lillian (Isaac), Olivia, Julia and Audrey; son Larry Snead of Vandalia; brother and sister-law- Robert & Susan Snead. A viewing will be held from 4:00-7:00 PM Wednesday, June 17, at Hale-Sarver Family Funeral Home, 284 N. Miami Street, West Milton. Burial will be held at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
