Lyle C Funk Jr

Lyle Clifford Funk Jr, age 82, of West Milton, passed away on Friday, December 27, 2024. He was born May 1, 1942 to Lyle Clifford Sr & Betty Lou (Huntsberger) Funk in Middletown, Ohio.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brother Kevin Funk. He will be missed and remembered by his loving wife Donna Jean (Koogler) Funk of 58 years; daughters Sharon (Tab) LaFollette of Troy and Yvonne Funk of Englewood.

Lyle was a 1960 Carlisle High School graduate and was an electrician for Dayton Power & Light where he worked for 28 years. He served his country proudly in the United States Navy. He watched every kind of racing especially NASCAR and Indy racing. Lyle loved family vacations to Sea Pines in Hilton Head. Through long and laborious hours, Lyle was able to take a struggling family auto parts business and turned it into an extremely profitable enterprise that was sold to support his niece and nephew. 

The family will receive friends from 9:30-11:30 AM on Thursday, January 2, 2025 at Hale-Sarver Family Funeral Home, 284 N. Miami St, West Milton with a funeral service beginning at 11:30 AM. Burial will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Beavercreek. If so desired, memorial contributions may be made VITAS Hospice.
