Margaret J. Swank, age 101, of Greenville, formerly of Laura, passed away on Friday, June 19, 2026 at Village Green Rehab and Healthcare Center. She was born June 1, 1925 to Roscoe & Sylvia (Cottrell) Cain in Bradford, Ohio.

She is preceded in death by her parents; loving husband Elmer R. Swank of 67 years; son-in-law Mark Powell; brothers Joy, Joyce, and James Cain; sisters Dorothy Baker and Betty Hayes.

She will be missed and remembered by her loving children Elmer Jr (Wanda) Swank of Ludlow Falls, Peggy (Jack) Overholser of New Madison, and Judy Powell of Greenville; 12 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; 9 great great grandchildren.

Margaret was a 1944 Milton-Union High School graduate. She loved working and helping out on the family farm with the every day tasks. She worked for Dekalb/Crow Seed Company in Greenville. She enjoyed spending time with her family specially completing puzzles when they came to visit her.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, June 25, 2026 at Hale-Sarver Family Funeral Home, 284 N. Miami St, West Milton. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, West Milton.
