Marilyn Kay Mendenhall, age 77, of Ludlow Falls, passed away on Friday, March 26, 2021 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born October 8, 1943 to Leonard & Edith (Beavers) Oakes in Troy, Ohio. She is preceded in death by her parents and siblings Donald Oakes and Maxine Lutz. She will be missed and remembered by her loving husband William Lee Mendenhall of 57 years; children Barbara (Joseph) Schauer of Kirtland Hills, Beverly Denlinger of West Milton, and William Jr (Mandy) Mendenhall of Piqua; grandchildren Joe Schauer, Scott Schauer, Brooklyn Denlinger, Demi Miller, Ally Mendenhall, and Kamri Mendenhall. Marilyn was a 1961 Milton-Union High School graduate and had worked as a Retail Manager at Uhlmans in Troy. She loved spending time with her family, gambling, and playing cards. She also enjoyed gardening, fishing and reading. A memorial gathering will be held from 5-7 PM on Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at the Hale House (adjacent the parking lot of Hale-Sarver) 320 N. Miami St, West Milton. Arrangements are in care of Hale-Sarver Family Funeral Home, West Milton.
