Marvin E. Fox

Marvin E. Fox of Troy, age 80, passed away on January 17, 2021. He was born on November 17th, 1940 in Troy, Ohio to the late James Nelson and Martha Mildred (Brewer) Fox. Marvin graduated from Tippecanoe High School class of 1959. He was involved in 4-H, FFA, and Farm Bureau. He owned his own plane and was a Flying Farmer of Ohio. Over his lifetime, Marvin attended Nashville United Church of Christ, Salem Church of God, First Baptist Church of Vandalia, First Baptist Church Sarasota, FL and Cove Spring Church. Marvin had a variety of skills and talents and excelled in whatever he put his mind and hand to. He built a farming operation with great employees. They farmed land that is now part of the Dayton International Airport, the LT Ball Middle School in Tipp City, the BMV Complex in Troy, the Orrmont Estate in Piqua, and the Water Wheel Farm South of West Milton just to name a few. Marvin was a salesman for cars and houses and real estate. He became a successful dump truck driver and finally retired as a truck driver from Trans Freight Tipp City. Marvin was preceded in death by his older brother James J Fox. He is survived by his loving wife Linda (Hamilton) Fox; 5 children Dan (Debbie) Danielson, Mark (Maria) Fox, Missy (Mark) Klare, Mitchell Fox and Matthew (Michele) Royster; 11 grandchildren Erik (Amanda) Fine, Tim Fine, Liz (Shad) Sebring, Danielle Danielson, Jonathan, Joshua, Katherine, Jessica, Joseph and Kyle Klare and Whitley Slaton; 6 great grandchildren Ethan and Alec Fine, Dennis and Hope Fine, Joanie Hall and Janelle Sebring; nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, January 22, 2021 at Hale-Sarver Family Funeral Home, 284 N. Miami St, West Milton, with Greg Morrow officiating. Burial will follow at Wheelock Cemetery Nashville.  The family will receive friends from 4-7 PM on Thursday, January 21 at the funeral home.
