Mary Ellen Yates

Mary Ellen Yates, age 82, of Brookville, formerly of Union, passed away on Thursday, February 6, 2020 at Brookhaven Nursing Home. She was born March 25, 1937 to the late Herman P. & Mary I. (Palmer) Dan in Dayton, Ohio. She is preceded in death by her parents; father of her children Willard E. Yates and son Chris Yates. She will be missed and remembered by her loving children Debbie (Dave) Hunter of Mobridge, SD, Becky Lowry of Englewood, and David Yates of Vandalia; grandchildren Kari (Dallas) Root, Kody Lowry, and Brandon Hunter; great grandchildren Dominic & Baden Root and Kora & Kylee Lowry and sister Kathy (Bill) Landis of Crossville, TN. Mary was a Fairview High School graduate and retired as a Postmaster for the U.S. Postal service. She also enjoyed doing arts and ceramics. The family will receive friends from 12-2 PM on Tuesday, February 11, 2020 at Hale-Sarver Family Funeral Home, 284 N. Miami St, West Milton with a funeral service beginning at 2:00 PM.
