Maxine Bechtol, age 99, of Tipp City, passed away on Sunday, November 17, 2024 at Randall Residence of Tipp City. She was born June 16, 1925 to the late Russell & Treva Arnett in Lewisburg, Ohio.
She is preceded in death by her husband Jerry of 70 years; son Randy Bechtol; granddaughter Heather Bechtol Kavanaugh; sisters Donna Vidlak and Pauline Hunt; brothers Forrest and Rodney Arnett.
She is survived by her grandchildren Todd Kavanaugh and Ben Bechtol; great grandchildren Nick Smith and Kolton Kavanaugh; and many other nieces and nephews.
Maxine was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Troy, OH and a life member of the VFW in Vandalia, OH. She loved ballroom dancing, playing cards, sewing, cooking, and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She retired from the Career Technical Center of Montgomery County and has since spent her time at home.
The family will receive friends from 5-6 PM on Friday, November 22, 2024 at Hale-Sarver Family Funeral Home, 284 N. Miami St, West Milton with a funeral service beginning at 6:00 PM. Private interment will be held at the convenience of the family in Miami Memorial Park, Covington. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church, Troy.
