Norma C. Helstern, age 98, of Greenville, formerly of Englewood, passed away on Thursday, December 26, 2024 at Brethren Retirement Community. She was born May 3, 1926 to Howard S. & Mary E. (Wenger) Cassell in Troy, Ohio.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Rollie M. Helstern; son Daryl Helstern; daughter Marjorie Nichols; daughter-in-law Sandy Helstern; son-in-law Clayton Nichols; granddaughter Beth Ann Nichols; brothers Merlin, Jesse, Donald, and Bernis Cassell; sister Lois Evelyn Mergler.

She will be missed and remembered by her son and daughter-in-law Paul & Nancy Helstern of Rochester, IN; daughter and son-in-law Judith & Alan Culley of Springfield; 8 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Norma was a longtime member of Salem Church of the Brethren where she also served as a deacon. She also was a member of the Merry Grandmothers Club of West Milton.

The family will receive friends from 11 AM-1 PM on Monday, December 30, 2024 at Salem Church of the Brethren, 6037 Phillipsburg-Union Rd, Englewood, OH 45322 with a funeral service to follow at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow in Bethel Cemetery, Englewood. Memorial contributions may be made to Salem Church of the Brethren memorial fund.
