Pauline Florence (Hinkle) Shoup, age 92, of West Milton, formerly of Covington, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 6, 2026 at StoryPoint West Milton. She was born October 2, 1933 to Elmer Lee & Minnie (Riggleman) Hinkle in Washington Court House, Ohio.

She is preceded in death by her parents; loving husband Allen Lee Shoup of 63 years; son Daniel Shoup; siblings Carl (Betty) Hinkle, Virginia (Walter) Boyd; brothers-in-law John Musser, and Roger Shoup; sister-in-law Betty Shoup; nephews Andrew Shoup and Scott Musser.

She will be missed and remembered by her loving children Gregory Shoup of Covington, Paula (Gale) Long of Covington, Melissa (Gary) Cooper of West Milton; daughter-in-law Shirley Shoup of Troy; 21 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; sister Kathleen Musser of Fletcher; brother-in-law Marvin Shoup of Covington.

Pauline held various jobs at K’s Hamburger Shop, General Films, Hallmark Piqua, Walmart in Troy then worked at Friendly’s Ice Cream Plant and finally retiring after managing the company store. Along with working a full-time job, Pauline raised her 4 children and helped her husband Allen with the farming. She also raised chickens and turkeys, tended to her large vegetable garden and flower gardens. Pauline was a member of the Miami County Farm Bureau and was a Miami County 4-H advisor. She was active in church activities at Bethel United Methodist Church in Piqua then at Nashville United Church of Christ where she was a member of the Second mile class, Women’s Fellowship Group, moderator, Youth Group Leader, and was on other church committees.

The family will receive friends from 9-11 AM on Thursday, June 11, 2026 at Hale-Sarver Family Funeral Home, 284 N. Miami St, West Milton with a funeral service beginning at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery, Covington. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to DayCity Hospice or Nashville United Church of Christ.
