Pauline Ellen Warner (Polly) Share, age 103, of Tipp City, passed away Saturday, November 9, 2024, at Marigold House in Springmeade. She was born January 31, 1921, at Garland, Ohio, to her parents Sam and Effie (Sollenberger) Warner. Polly graduated from Milton-Union High School, worked for many years at New Carlisle Church of the Brethren as secretary, and volunteered at Mercy Hospital in Springfield. She was very skilled at bird carving, quilting, and other needlework which she often gave to her family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, John Share, Jr.; infant son Bruce Share; siblings, Burnell Warner, Ralph Warner, Gladys Cottrell, Mildred McGuire, and Jayne Strain. She will be missed and remembered by her children, Andrea (Tom) Reed of Georgia, Rick Share (Marie Helene Estrade) of New York, Ron Share of Washington D.C., and Randy Share of Kentucky; grandchildren, Kim (Scott) Daffron of Georgia, Alison Share (Jami Westerhold) of Washington, D.C., and Jeanne Share (Derek Mapes) of Amsterdam; great grandchildren, Reed and Christian Daffron of Georgia, Emil and Ella Westerhold of Washington, D.C., and Eleanor Share of Amsterdam.
The funeral service will be held Friday, November 15, at 2:00 pm, at Hale-Sarver Funeral Home in West Milton, with interment following at Bethel Cemetery in Englewood. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 pm on Friday before the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Ohio’s Hospice of Miami County.
