Peggy Ann (Lockman) Sanders

Peggy Ann (Lockman) Sanders, age 72, of Laura, passed away on Sunday, September 10, 2023 at EverHeart Hospice Inpatient Unit. She was born March 27, 1951 to Philip Anderson & Miriam Alberta (McNelly) Lockman.

She is preceded in death by her parents and husband Timothy K. Sanders. She will be missed and remembered by her siblings Nick (Veronica) Lockman of Morrow, Brian Lockman of Arcanum, and Mindy (Alan) Longfellow of Union City, OH; step daughters Jaime McDowell and Jessica (Matt) Whitmire; step grandchildren Zack McCarty, Kayla Egbert, Hayden Whitmire; sister-in-law Valerie Sanders of Laura; brother-in-law Monte (Dee) Sanders of Greenville; numerous nieces and nephews.

Peggy taught music at many local schools in Ohio before receiving her PHD in performance arts from Oklahoma University. She later retired from Long & Associates as an executive assistant. She loved reading, listening to music and watching movies. Her love of performance got her interested in the costumes of the Renaissance. Peggy was a big Harry Potter fan and loved to play games with family and friends, especially scrabble and dominoes.

The family will receive friends from 1-3 PM on Sunday, September 17 at Hale-Sarver Family Funeral Home, 284 N. Miami St, West Milton. Memorial contributions may be made to EverHeart Hospice. Online memories of Peggy may be left for the family at www.hale-sarver.com.
