Randy Hoskins
61, of Potsdam, passed away on February 19, 2025, leaving behind his loving wife Sheryl Hoskins and a legacy of wit, ingenuity, and unwavering love for his family. A man of few words but sharp sarcasm, he had a knack for turning wrenches, fixing the unfixable, and creating things with his own two hands.
A true mechanical genius, Randy spent countless hours tinkering in his barn, surrounded by tools, projects in various stages of completion, and probably a Beer sitting in the workbench. His passion for armory and craftsmanship was unmatched, and he could talk about it for hours—if you were lucky enough to be in his trusted circle.
He felt most at home outdoors, whether camping under the stars, sitting around a fire. While his circle was small, it was filled with genuine, cherished relationships. He didn’t do pretense—if you were in his life, you knew you were truly valued.
Above all, he was the world’s best Opa, a beloved husband, father, brother, and grandpa. A man whose love for his family was as strong. He may be gone, but his legacy of laughter, craftsmanship, and love will live on in the stories, the lessons, and the memories he leaves behind.
