Rhonda Sue King, daughter of Garrison and Velma (Shellabarger) King, was born February 10, 1945, in Greenville, Ohio. She peacefully passed from this life to eternity in the early morning hours of September 7, 2026, at the age of 81.  She accepted the Lord as her Savior on February 19, 1966.  Rhonda graduated from Newton High School in 1963 and dedicated her life to the nursing profession as an LPN and later as an RN.  She loved flowers, gardening and traveling the world sightseeing. She visited many friends and family from coast to coast.  She is survived by her best friend and roommate Joan Koble; brothers Larry King and Joe (Carla) King; nephews Jim (Amy) King, Jeff (Betsy) King; nieces Jamie Chambers, Candi (Jarrod) Schaurer; 14 great nieces and nephews; 6 great-great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister-in-law Ruth King.  On April 2024, Rhonda wrote, “I have cancer, BUT I HAVE JESUS!” Her life reflected that. The family would like to thank everyone for all the meals, flowers and support they showed to them this past year. The family would also like to thank the staff at Otterbein Tipp City SeniorLife for the care they gave to Rhonda during her stay with them.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Friday, September 11, at Old German Baptist Brethren Church, 6360 Farrington Rd., Covington. Interment will follow at Newcomer Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3:00-7:00 PM Thursday, at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Pink Ribbon Good, www.pinkribbongood.org/donate.
