Richard A. Zechar Obituary
Richard A. Zechar, 84, of Troy, passed away Saturday, December 10, 2016, at Upper Valley Medical Center. He was born August 2, 1932, in Troy, to the late Cleo Zechar and the late Vandale (Fourman) Zechar Johnson.
Richard will be missed and remembered by his wife of 61 years, Marcia Lynne (Shanley) Zechar of Troy; three children, Randy (Angela) Zechar of Vandalia, Rick Zechar of Pleasant Hill, and Karen Zechar of Troy; a grandson, Tyler Zechar; and a sister, Marguerite Brining of Greenville. He was preceded in death by a brother, Joe Johnson.
Richard was a 1950 graduate of Newton High School and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He retired from General Motors in Dayton after many years of service.
Private services will be conducted for his family through Jackson-Sarver Funeral Home, Pleasant Hill. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Miami County, P.O. Box 502, Troy, OH 45373. Online tributes may be left for the family at jackson-sarver.com.
