Richard “Dick” Dean Robbins, age 90, of Englewood, passed away on Monday, May 6, 2024 at Cypress Pointe Health Campus, Englewood. He was born October 30, 1933 to Eugene Saylor & Grace Odetta (Bunger) Robbins in Dayton, Ohio.
He is preceded in death by his parents; son Richard “Ricky” Dean Robbins Jr; siblings Bob Robbins, Betty Wittman, Karl Robbins, and Delores Pummill.
He will be missed and remembered by his loving wife Betty Jean (Troutwine) Robbins of 72 years; children Edward Lee (Erin) Robbins of Englewood and Tammie Jean (Walt) Jurek of Texas; 8 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; siblings Bill (Wanda) Robbins of Englewood, and Sally Weller of Texas; numerous nieces and nephews.
Richard was a builder by trade for many years until he was given the opportunity to be a chaplain for 15 years at Grace Brethren Village. He loved to share the word of Jesus Christ and how His love and sacrifice for you can change your life. He had a heart for serving others. He enjoyed going golfing, fishing, and watching birds.
The family will receive friends from 9-10:30 AM on Saturday, May, 11, 2024 at Hale-Sarver Family Funeral Home, 284 N. Miami St, West Milton with a funeral service beginning at 10:30 AM. Burial will follow in Roselawn Cemetery, Lewisburg. Memorial contributions may be made to Cypress Pointe Health Campus. Online memories of Richard may be left for the family at www.hale-sarver.com.
