Robert A. Herron

Robert (Bob) A. Herron, age 93, of West Milton, passed away on Tuesday, December 31, 2024. He was born December 30, 1931, to William and Gladys (Vorreiter) Herron in Vinton County, Ohio. He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Gladys. Bob will be greatly missed and remembered by his loving wife of 70 years, Joyce M. (Willis) Herron; daughter Nancy (and Willie) Leach of West Milton, Ohio; son Ben (and Nancy) Herron of West Milton, Ohio; son David Herron (deceased); 7 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and 6 siblings, two of which are surviving.
 
Bob served his country proudly in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the Hoffman Global Methodist Church and a charter member of the Free Masons North Canton, Ohio Charter. During his lengthy career as an electrical engineer, Bob was credited with the design of several innovative electronic products. He retired as an electrical engineer from Palstar Inc. in Piqua, OH. Bob loved spending time with his wife and family and in his workshop. Bob enjoyed baking his favorite recipes, reading books and working on his computer. Bob liked to travel and hike, spending time on local trails and parts of the Appalachian Trail.
 
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are in the care of Hale-Sarver Family Funeral Home, West Milton.
