Age 77, of West Milton, passed away Sunday, February 25, 2024, at Brookdale of Englewood. He was born February 21, 1947, in Dayton, Ohio, to his parents Robert Edison & Emily Faye (Vulgamore) Hughes. Bob graduated from Milton-Union High School class of 1965 and retired from General Motors after 30 years of employment. He was a US Army Vietnam veteran and loved hunting and fishing. In 2011, Bob and Charlene made a dream come true by taking a cruise/land tour of Alaska. He will be missed and remembered by his loving wife of 54 years Charlene Marie (Hirby) Hughes; children and their spouses Shane & Jennifer Hughes of Sarasota, and Heather & Gene Marstellar of Vandalia; grandchildren Chloe, Delaney, Emmalee, and Jayson; friend Gene Tipton. He was preceded in death by his parents and his friend Rex Duncan. A graveside service will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, February 29, at Glen Forest Cemetery, 4512 Xenia Ave, Yellow Springs, Ohio 45387.
