Robert "Bob" Allen Belmaggio

Robert Allen Belmaggio, age 83, of Union, passed away Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at Miami Valley Hospital. He was born July 20, 1941, in Arthurdale, West Virginia, to his parents Joseph Nick & Anna Margaret (Lay) Belmaggio. 

Bob was a proud graduate of Arthurdale High School. He dedicated thirty years of service as a mail carrier with the United States Postal Service and was a devout member of the Englewood Church of Christ, contributing to the community through his faith and service. Bob's passions were as vibrant as his personality, with fishing, bowling, and boating among his favorite activities. He had a love for sports, a fascination for hobby trains, and a special talent for gardening. His presence outdoors, where he spent countless hours nurturing the earth, will be dearly missed. His life was a testament to the joy of simple pleasures and the value of dedication. Bob's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his wife Deborah Joan (Grundon) Belmaggio and his sister Robin Menear. He will be missed and remembered by his loving children and their spouses Robert & Ginger Belmaggio, Amy & Tasha Belmaggio, Timothy & Stephani Belmaggio, and also Sherri Belmaggio and Michael Belmaggio; 8 grandchildren; sister Carolyn Frum, Joseph Belmaggio, Thomas Belmaggio.

Funeral services will be held 4:00 PM Sunday, February 9, 2025, at Hale-Sarver Family Funeral Home, 284 N. Miami Street, West Milton. The family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00 PM Sunday at the funeral home. A graveside service will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, February 11, at Arthurdale Cemetery, 216 West Rd, Arthurdale, West Virginia 26520.
