Ronald Kidwell
Age 83, of West Milton, passed away Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at Kettering Medical Center. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, on July 25, 1941, to the late Paul Emerson and Josephine (Travis) Kidwell. Ron was the owner of Gish Roofing Company. He enjoyed researching genealogy and was the first social member of the West Milton VFW. He was an avid bowler and sports fan who enjoyed cheering on the Cincinnati Bengals, Reds and Bearcats. He liked old classic cars, watching western movies, listening to oldies music and was a big Trump supporter. Ron and his wife Jennifer would win dance competitions and would always dance around the living room.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings Goldie Lay, Paula Brown, Roberta Wilson, Carol Gay, Ken Kidwell, George Kidwell (twin brother), Rosemary Hatfield, Pauline Kidwell. He will be missed and remembered by his loving wife Jennifer Lynn (Ford) Kidwell; his children David Kidwell (Sherri Blatz) of Dayton, Sandy (Tim) Lockwood of Clayton, Ronald Joseph (Rachel) Kidwell of Beavercreek, Kim (Chris) Harris of Clayton, Shannon Kidwell of Vandalia, Chris (Jamie) Kidwell of West Milton, Jessica (Mike) Kidwell of Tipp City; grandchildren Blake (Brianna), Melinda, Alex (Tabby), Lucinda, Kaylee (Michael), Trey, Courtney, Alyce, Maddie, Austin, Brianna (Kenny), Miranda, John, Katelyn, Bailey, Adam, Emma, Jackson, Cameron; 13 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM Monday, October 28, at Hale-Sarver Family Funeral Home, 284 N. Miami Street, West Milton, with interment following at Unity Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00 PM Sunday at the funeral home. If so desired, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Miami County.
