Ronald Dean Shellhammer

Age 78, of West Milton, passed away Sunday, January 3, 2021, at Hospice of Miami County Inpatient Unit. He was born October 11, 1942, in Dayton, Ohio, to his parents C. Nelson & Gladys A. (Hall) Shellhammer. Ronald graduated from Milton-Union High School class of 1961 and earned two associates degrees from Sinclair Community College. He was a US Marine Corps veteran. He was active with the Boy Scouts of America, coached little league baseball and softball, and enjoyed fishing, watching football, and spending time with family and friends. He retired from General Motors and was a member of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. 

He will be missed and remember by his loving wife of over 56 years Gloria (Helke) Shellhammer; children and their spouses David & Kimberly Shellhammer of West Milton, Karen & Lee Bramlette of Troy, Jeff Shellhammer of Huber Heights, Jon & Erika Shellhammer of Tipp City; 9 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; sister Love Carolyne Faith. He was preceded in death by his parents  and sister Marilyn Gray. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, January 9, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 1209 S. Miami Street, West Milton. Interment at Maple Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00-1:00 PM Saturday at the church. If so desired, memorial contributions may be made to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.
