Ronald "Ron" E. Mead

Ronald “Ron” E. Mead, age 83, passed away on Sunday, October 13, 2024 at Kettering Health Dayton. He was born February 12, 1941 to Ernest & Sadie Ellen (Kenworthy) Mead in Eaton, Ohio.

He is preceded in death by his parents; loving wife Juanita Kay (Nickel) Mead; daughter Linda Mead; brothers Charles (Connie) Mead, and Otis (Shirley) Mead; brother-in-law Marvin Brumbaugh.

He will be missed and remembered by his longtime friend and companion Brenda Streck; loving daughters Karen (Mike) Longstreth of Dayton, Rhonda Burgess (Beau) of Sidney, Peggy (Luke) Basham of Ansonia, and Mary (Kraig) Peters of Bradford; 6 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; sister Dorothy Brumbaugh of Laura; brother Kenny (Joyce) Mead of Bradford.

Ron retired from Hobart Brothers as a foreman in the wire pulling division. He collected and restored John Deere tractors.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday, October 17, 2024 at Hale-Sarver Family Funeral Home, 284 N. Miami St, West Milton. Burial will follow in Harris Creek Cemetery, Bradford.
