SALLY SUE (PASSON) THOMPSON
Sally’s life began in Greenville, Ohio on September 13, 1937 when she was born to Gerald “Red” and Cora “Corky” Passon. She was later joined by three siblings, Jay, Bill and Sherry. Sally married and raised four children Cindy, Becky, Jodi and Brian. She began her working career at Donenfelds in Dayton and later worked at Shopsmith and then Hobart Corporation where she retired in 2004. Sally loved spending time with her family and adored her grandchildren. She attended sporting events, recitals, graduations, and weddings. She loved being a part of their lives every day. She was an artist and loved to paint. Many of her paintings can be found in the homes of her children and grandchildren. Sally left this earth peacefully at 12:45 pm on August 31, 2020 surrounded by family. She lived a wonderfully full 82 years of life and leaves behind a legacy of 4 children, 11 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Although she will be greatly missed, we know she is watching over her family from heaven and will continue to be a part of their lives every day. Sally is survived by siblings Jay Passon, Bill Passon and Sherry (Passon) Wray; children Cindy (Laycock) Serena, Becky (Laycock) & Bob Denlinger, Jodi (Laycock) & Bruce McIver, and Brian & Karen Laycock; grandchildren Christi, Tawni, Summer, Sophie, Wayne, Beau, Blake, Dustin, Kendra, Bryce, and Katie; great- grandchildren Tyler, Maddi, Molly, Willie, Cole, Cora, Ethan, Owen, Maddox, Micah, Sophie, Lincoln, Ina, Elli, Cooper, Cade, Carter, Brody, Emma, Levi, Bennett, and Lucy; great-great grandchildren Freya and Ezria. She is preceded in death by her parents, and great-grandsons John and Easton Kopp. The family will receive friends from 4-6 PM on Thursday, September 3, 2020 at Hale-Sarver Family Funeral Home, 284 N. Miami St, West Milton with a celebration of life beginning at 6:00 PM with Chaplain Amy Bennett officiating. Online memories of Sally may be left for the family at www.hale-sarver.com.
