Sherry Lynn Johnson

Sherry Lynn Johnson, age 74, of Huber Heights, passed away on Friday, July 7, 2023 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born May 10, 1949 to Walter Raymond & Helen (Frisby) Hunsbarger in Dayton, OH.

She is preceded in death by her parents; son Michael Scott Vagedes; step son Dwain Vagedes; brother Darrel Hunsbarger.

She will be missed and remembered by her loving daughter Dawn (Rich) Thornsbury; stepchildren Darrin (Sharon) Vagedes, Rick (Tammy) Vagedes, Tom (Barb) Stone; grandchildren Richard Brackin, Christina Vagedes; great grandchildren Mia Vagedes, Blake Jr, and 1 on the way; brothers Terry (Melba) Hunsbarger, and Keith Hunsbarger.

Sherry had retired from The Laurels Nursing Home as a dietary aid. She loved going fishing, gardening, and watching movies.

The family will receive friends from 12-1 PM on Tuesday, July 11, 2023 at Hale-Sarver Family Funeral Home, 284 N. Miami St, West Milton with a funeral service beginning at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, West Milton. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice. Online memories of Sherry may be left for the family at www.hale-sarver.com.
