After returning to Ohio, Lee completed the Journeyman program through Sinclair Community College. He became a Master Toolmaker and ran his own business, Brown Tool & Die company, for 25 years. He attended Community Grace Brethren Church for many years with his family.

Lee is survived by his wife of almost 50 years, Fran (Garrett) Brown; children, Becky Evans, Brian (Collin) Brown. Also surviving are his 4 grandchildren, Cooper Evans, Barrett, Bodey and Perry Brown; Siblings, Bradley Brown (Bonnie), Ruth Quillen, Glen Kendall, David Kendall, sister-in-law Judy Brown, sister-in-law Ann Kendall, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Lee was a provider and protector of his family. Lee taught himself to build and repair many things throughout his life. He used these skills to continually help his family and others. Lee enjoyed traveling with his family. He traveled extensively with his mother around the country, as a child, including trips to Hawaii and out west. Memorable family vacations included many trips to Cedar Point, boating and jet ski trips, family reunions in Georgia, and taking his family on a summer long road trip around the country, spanning from Maine to Washington, DC, South Dakota to Arizona, and back. He also enjoyed salmon fishing trips to Canada with his brothers and walleye and salmon fishing on the Great Lakes with his family.

Known by family and close friends as Butch, he enjoyed gathering with them for picnics at the pond. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, fishing, and riding four wheelers with them at the pond, and attending various activities and sporting events to watch them.

In keeping with Lee’s wishes, a private celebration of life will be held. Those who wish to remember Lee are invited to share memories online through the provided link and/or make a donation to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
