Steven (STEVE) Anthony Kastle passed away at home peacefully on May 3, 2026. Born in Dayton, Ohio on July 6, 1957, Steve was known for his quiet demeanor. Steve’s life was marked by incredible strength and a thoughtful nature that endeared him to all fortunate to know him.
Survived by his wife Joni (Kakatolis). His children and grandchildren, Adriane Rainer (Steven), Arthur and Theodore, Stevie Kastle, Colin and Lily, and Chet Kastle (Jake Wedding). His sister, Cheryl Trick (Tom), his brother Chris Kastle (Thea), his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Kurt and Valerie Yackey and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Jerome (Jerry) Kastle and Mary Ann (Mae) Kastle.
Throughout his plumbing career, Steve applied his talent and skill, demonstrating a work ethic that reflected his dedication, integrity and desire to inspire young people entering the trade.
Beyond his professional life, Steve found great joy spending time with his beloved pet, Cooper. He also enjoyed boating, fishing, shooting and golf for many years with family and cherished friends.
Steve will be deeply missed. May his memory be eternal.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 2-4 PM on Sunday, May 17, 2026 at the Hale House Event Center, 320 N. Miami St, West Milton (adjacent the parking lot of Hale-Sarver). Arrangements are in care of Hale-Sarver Family Funeral Home, West Milton. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton.
