Ted E. Wagner, age 88, of Laura, passed away on Friday, May 31, 2024. He was born on February 20, 1936, in Dayton, Ohio, to Ted E. and Leona N. Wagner. Ted graduated from Milton-Union High School in 1954 and has since enjoyed attending the Milton Union ball games throughout the years. He spent his working years as a ticket agent for TWA. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed gardening, mushroom hunting, and working on the farm mowing and cutting wood. Above all, he was a family man who found joy in the simple things in life. He was known for always having a smile on his face and a joke up his sleeve that could get the whole room laughing.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Marcia N. (Heisey) Wagner; his parents; his brother Tom Wagner. He will be missed and remembered by his 3 children Dawn Wagner of Dayton, Toni Wagner of Laura, Trent Wagner of Laura; 2 grandchildren Travis Williams (Meghan Williams), Tonnie Hicks; and 3 great grandchildren Belle Williams, Gage Williams, and Arlo Alles; sisters Phyllis Bidlack of Oakwood, Barbara Burson of Xenia.
He will always be remembered for the truly wonderful dad, grandpa, and man he was.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Wednesday, June 5, at Hale-Sarver Family Funeral Home, 284 N. Miami Street, West Milton. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery, West Milton. The family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Memories may be shared with the family online at www.hale-sarver.com
