Theresa Lynne McMaken

Theresa Lynne McMaken of West Milton, age 60, passed away February 10, 2020 at Piqua Manor.  Theresa was born on August 31, 1959 in Troy, Ohio to Beverly Ann (Warner) Pemberton and the late Ian Pemberton.  She achieved her Associates degree in Nursing and worked as an RN at Children’s Medical Center in Dayton for several years.  She attended Potsdam United Methodist Church and enjoyed spending time with her grandkids. She also loved going to the Soo Locks in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan to watch the freighters, and always had a book with her to read.  Theresa is survived by her loving husband, Allen Dale McMaken; mother Beverly Pemberton; children Ana (Andrew) Godin, Dale (Chyna) McMaken, and Callie (Erich) Cross; grandchildren Liam, Sadie, Samuel, Maria, Jack, and Genevieve; and siblings Dawn (Frank) Swartz, Ian (Tammy) Pemberton, and Pam (Randy Gilbert).  Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, February 15, 2020 at Potsdam United Methodist Church, 12 S. Main St, Potsdam, Ohio.  The family will receive friends from 10AM – 12 noon at the church, prior to services.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Theresa’s honor to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN  38105.  Messages of sympathy may be left for the family online at www.hale-sarver.com.
