Thomas Vernon Eyler
Age 77, of Pleasant Hill, passed away unexpectedly in his sleep Monday, October 9, 2017, at his home. He was born March 7, 1940, in Dayton, Ohio, to his parents Vernon & Pauline (Valiquette) Eyler. Tom graduated from Eaton High School and was a US Navy Veteran. He retired from the Miami County Sheriff’s Department after over 25 years of service as a Sheriff’s Deputy. Tom will be missed and remembered by his loving wife of nearly 30 years M. Joy (Carey) Eyler; children and their spouses Susan & Dave Bennet of Cincinnati, Melissa Eyler, Shelly King & Lance Randall of Troy, Steven & Jessica Critz of Pleasant Hill; grandchildren Amanda, Meredith, Thomas, Jackie, Josh, Kristen, Laura & Hayden, John, Otis, Omari, Ronnie, Grayson, Aliyah, Katie, Jordan, Skylar ; 1 great grandson Peter; siblings and their spouses Beth & Joe Pater of Kingston, Ontario Canada, Gene & Connie Eyler of Eaton, David Eyler of Eaton, Janie & Rich Adrian of Huntington, New York, Kathryn Eyler of Los Angeles, California; special friends Jack & Janie Evans of Troy, Randy & Kelley Hesson of Sun Valley, Nevada. He was preceded in death by his son James Eyler and his parents. Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, October 14, at Jackson-Sarver Funeral Home, 1 S. Main Street, Pleasant Hill. The family will receive friends from 4-8 PM Friday at the funeral home.
