Velma Mae Pitman

VELMA MAE PITMAN

Age 85, of Pleasant Hill, passed away Monday, April 11, 2016, at her home. She was born May 22, 1930, in Troy, Ohio, to her parents Evertt & Bernice (Antonides) Yount. Velma graduated from Newton High School class of 1948 and retired from Empo Pump after 22 years of service. She was a member of the Pleasant Hill United Church of Christ and was a member of the VFW Post 6557 Auxiliary, Amvets #66 Auxiliary, and Eagles #3998 Auxiliary. She will be missed and remembered by her loving husband of 61 years James E. Pitman of Pleasant Hill; sons Michael J. Pitman of Pleasant Hill and Rick L. Pitman of Pleasant Hill; sister Marcile Feitshans of Pleasant Hill; brother and sister-in-law Charles & Beverly Yount of Piqua. A memorial service will be held 7:00 PM Friday at the Pleasant Hill United Church of Christ, 10 West Monument Street, Pleasant Hill, will Pastor Craig Showalter officiating. The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM Friday at the church. If so desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Pleasant Hill United Church of Christ.
