Wayne Douglas Campbell, age 76, of Covington, passed away on Monday, February 27, 2023 at Stillwater Nursing Center, Covington under DayCity Hospice Care. He was born January 15, 1947 to Howard Franklin & Rose Irene (Hilt) Campbell in Dayton, Ohio.
He is preceded in death by his parents; mother of his children Jayne Elaine (Stepp) Campbell; sisters Catherine Eversult and Francis Hutchinson.
He will be missed and remembered by his children Janel Leigh Campbell of Troy and Matthew Douglas Campbell of Huber Heights; grandchildren Jakiah Herron, Dayna & Mark Cocca, McKeon Campbell; great grandchildren Jack and Levi Cocca; sister Virginia & Jack Jones of Greenville.
Wayne graduated from Patterson Co-op in Dayton then went to Sinclar Community College to earn his Associate’s Degree. He worked as a CNC Programmer at McCauley Propellers & Harris Graphics. Wayne was a member of the United States Air Force Museum and Covered Bridge Association for many years. He also was an avid motorcycle rider.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5-7 PM on Friday, March 3, 2023 at the Hale House Event Center (adjacent Hale-Sarver) 320 N. Miami St, West Milton. Arrangements are in care of Hale-Sarver Family Funeral Home, West Milton. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 6077 Far Hills Blvd, Dayton, OH 45459.
