William G. Smith IV

William G. Smith IV, age 38, of Troy, passed away on Friday, February 23, 2024. He was born July 22, 1985 in Dayton, Ohio.

Will was a 2004 Northmont High School graduate then went on to get his Bachelor’s Degree from Capitol University (2008). He then completed his Master’s Degree in Accounting from Michigan State University and then started working for the Department of Defense. Will had a passion for football, baseball, and hockey especially enjoyed watching the Columbus Blue Jackets play. He also was an avid golfer and loved the time he had with his beloved dog Rocco.

He will be missed and remembered by his mother Jilda (Malena) Howard; extended family and friends.

A memorial gathering will be held from 5-7 PM on Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at Hale-Sarver Family Funeral Home, 284 N. Miami St, West Milton. Following the gathering, the family has invited everyone back to TJ Chumps, 559 S. Main St, Englewood, OH 45322 for a time of fellowship and food. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Miami County Animal Shelter or an animal shelter of one’s choice.
